Syrian-Benghazi Affair

On August 1, 2013, a CNN' special report by Jake Tapper, broke the store that dozens of CIA operatives were on the ground during the Benghazi attack.  The Obama Administration has covered-up this information and sources reported that since the beginning of the year "some CIA operatives involved in the agency's missions in Libya, have been subjected to frequent, even monthly polygraph examinations" to discourage "talking to the media or Congress".  Trey Gowdy (R-SC) also on Thursday accused the CIA of changing names and creating aliases for CIA agents on the ground in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.

While it is easy to believe this cover-up was about the re-election campaign, it has also surfaced that the CIA was actually purchasing weapons including shoulder-fire-missiles and supplying them to rebels in Syria.  This is most likely the cause of panic in the Administration.  If this information is proven, the Administration is in violation of the law as Congress did not approve arming the Syrian rebels until later in 2013.

President Obama ultimately carries the responsibility for the illegal acts of the CIA operatives and their superiors, and his administration continues its unprecedented run on secrecy, deception and disdain for the U.S. Constitution. Perhaps worse than all the wrongdoings and illegality is the President allowed an attack against the U.S. on the anniversary of September 11 with a strong response and condemnation.  No matter what one thought of George W. Bush, every American felt
patriotic and approved when the President took to the airwaves to assure the world and the people that America was not going to take a sucker-punch and let the terrorists walk away.  Almost a year after Benghazi, President Obama has no idea whom the attackers were and he doesn't seem to care.
